Where Can I Buy a Block of Dry Ice?

I want to make a non-alcoholic "Witch’s Brew" for my son’s party. All the recipes call for dry ice. Is all dry ice "edible?" Where can I buy it? We went to Home Depot and a Halloween store- no luck.

Go to this website because it tells how to handle dry ice safely and with children around it would be very helpful to take a look at, and where the public can buy dry ice at many places. hope this helps and good luck with the party 🙂

Dry ice is made from chemicals, and must be handled with tongs and gloves. It is definitely not edible. Many supermarkets sell dry ice. I have also seen it at Wal-Mart.

I know Albertsons usually has it in a special freezer at the front of the store.

Dry ice is not edible and should not be placed directly in food or beverages. It is made of chemicals that can kill you if you’re not careful and must be handled with extreme care (heavy gloves and tongs). It can do quite a bit of damage if you touch it or swallow it.

You can find it in grocery stores.

I have seen it at the local Ralphs.
