What is a good topic for a Non-Western history research paper?

I need a topic for a Non-Western history research paper. It must:

• Be Non-Western (e.g. China, Africa, Japan…)
• Have some sort of counter argument (meaning, I can’t have a paper about how Hitler is a bad person because there is no reputable argument saying he was a good person)
• Be a topic from at least 15 years ago

Thanks!

not bragging at all! i can give a good presentation. my son is a gifted kid and he had a college class when he was 15 years old. well, he had to give a presentation and chose to give it on halloween! i said son, that won’t work. you should give it on this or that. but he went ahead and gave it on halloween!, of all things, i thought. well, he was a hit! hmm, i said. it goes to show you what can happen. i would find someone that nobody knows anything good about and surprise everyone. your choice which one. get one that you can find some good in and make a star out of yourself. remember, it goes both ways. find some bad about someone that is good. good luck.
