What are some scary and bloody Halloween movies that you can recommend?

I need some scary and bloody Halloween movies. Please, nothing too old, and no Saw movies. I would prefer movies made from 2000 to 2008. It can also be foreign that is out on DVD.

These movies are really magnificent and worth watching:

    Doomsday
    Halloween Resurrection
    The Grave dancers
    Alone (Thai)
    Shutter(American)
    The ring 2
    Rogue

Please notify me when you watch them and like them or not: riannemylove_143@yahoo.com.ph(yahoo mail)

The Ginger Snaps series is great for Halloween and but not very well known. May have some trouble getting your hands on a copy.

shutter unrated is good even though I have not seen it.

Hostel is a great blood and gory horror movie, but isn’t scary.
If you want scary and gore I’d go with the Texas Chainsaw Remake because I can’t think of any other gory and somewhat scary movie, they just don’t mix. Gory movies aren’t scary. If you want to watch a scary movie then watch the Exorcist or The Omen, very chilling films.

You kinda have 2 different questions here. I’m not a huge fan of gory movies, but here are some classic scary movies:

-Exorcist (the original or the remake)
-The Shining (one of my favorites)
    -The Exorcism of Emily Rose
-Event Horizon (recommendation of a friend)
    -The Omen (the original)

Classic Halloween movies include (in no particular order):

    -Pet Cemetery
    -Night of the Living Dead
-Frankenstein (the original black and white)
    -Dawn of the Dead
    -Jason
    -The Halloween movies
    -Freddy Krueger
    -Beetlejuice
    -The Addams Family
    -Poltergeist
    -The Haunting

    Gory:
    The Saw movies
    Texas Chainsaw
    Hostel

"The Descent" might be the best pure horror film in ages. It starts out as a spelunking adventure featuring six tenacious young women. But then, we find out they’re not alone in the caves.

Great suspense, a solid amount of gore and characters you actually care about.
