Need some suggestions for a Halloween Potluck?

We are having a potluck at the office for the boss’s birthday. Any great ideas for a recipe that everyone would like that is tied to Halloween? Thanks:)

Cupcakes with black and orange frosting, pumpkin bars, dirt cake.
Apple snicker desert: which consists of chopped apples with the peel on, chopped frozen snicker bars, 1 pkg dry vanilla pudding, 1 container coolwhip. Mix all together and chill.

carmel apples, fruit pizza, Queso dip, cheese and crackers. Hope this gives you some ideas. Have a fun party!

Here’s another. Not lc (unless you have powder sugar sub on hand), but it’s festive and really good.

    Pumpkin Dip

1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
    2 cups confectioners’ sugar
    1 15 oz can pumpkin
    3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    Apple and pear slices

Beat cream cheese and sugar. Gradually add the pumpkin, pie spice, vanilla, and ginger. Beat until smooth. Serve with fruit. Refrigerate leftovers.

A real popular hit at past parties of mine have been apples with caramel. I also saw where someone dipped pretzels in white chocolate that had been dyed orange and then they coated it in mini chocolate chips.

  • deirdrezz says:

I arrange orange tortilla chips on a circular platter, place cheddar cheese on them, and melt them. Then, I make salsa eyes, a black bean dip nose, and a sour cream scary mouth.

    Boo Cups

    3-1/4 cups cold milk
2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
20 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, crushed, divided
    30 miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips

POUR milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Gently stir in half each of the whipped topping and cookie crumbs.
SPOON 1 Tbsp. of the remaining cookie crumbs into each of 15 (6-oz.) paper or plastic cups. Cover evenly with layers of the pudding mixture and remaining cookie crumbs.
DROP remaining whipped topping by spoonfuls onto desserts to resemble ghosts. Add chocolate chips for the eyes. Serve immediately. Or, refrigerate until ready to serve. Cover and store leftover desserts in refrigerator.
