Is it just me or is halloween becoming dead each year?

I look outside and there is not one single halloween decoration? Except for a pumpkin at my house and two other neighbours?

its floundered a bit yes, fewer trick or treaters, people doing trick or trunk now where the neighborhood gathers in a parking lot and kids go from car to car…laim, or going to malls and going from store to store. so people just don’t decorate like they used to, but not me, im all in every year and i always add more.

becoming dead……. people are so evil..no one wants to go out* can you blame them.

It is becoming dead. Around here its because people are sick of their decorations being stolen. Or when they pass out candy which was to keep kids from being bad it seems all we get is teenagers walking around or adults. You barely see anyone dressed up anymore. There aren’t as many Halloween costumes or parties to plan. The decorations even took a nose dive. Its slowly becoming like a lot of other holidays. Why waste the time for one day? They seem to have forgotten the fun part of it all.

I try to keep it alive for my kids seeing their faces light up getting candy for saying 2 words it is fun.I did decorate the inside of my house but not the outside The little kids around here are bad it is not the teenagers but the ones who are like not even 10 yet.

I celebrate and decorate. I’ve noticed a lot of Christians making comments about it being "satan’s holiday" and "avoiding celebrating the evil of the holiday". That’s probably part of the reason it’s not as popular anymore…the ignorance is spreading like wildfire. If only half of those people making those stupid comments would research the true origins of Halloween, we’d all still be celebrating. (Especially when they find out that…ooops! Halloween is derived from a PAGAN tradition and satan is a CHRISTIAN belief!! Pagans don’t believe in or worship Satan!)
