How do you use marshmallow creme to make rice krispies?

The recipe on the Rice Krispies box calls for actual marshmallows and to melt them and stir in the Rice Krispies. A friend of mine suggested using the creme so I can skip the part of melting the marshmallows. I’m just trying to figure out if I still need to heat up the creme or just mix it up with the cereal straight out of the jar. This is my first time making them and they are for a Halloween party so I want everyone to enjoy them.

Well, typically you need a bit of butter too, and what you do is melt the butter in a pan and add the marshmallow creme to that, to melt some. Stir well, so they’re nicely mixed, cool a little and add rice krispies 🙂

I’m not sure marshmallow creme would work. Really, it is simple to melt the marshmallows, you can do it on the stove on in the microwave.
