Halloween Party Game Ideas—?

I’m in a 4-H club (If you don’t know what 4-H is, I am unable to give a satisfactory explanation of what it is at the time.) And I volunteered to be in charge of the October activity. I decided a Halloween Party would be great fun! Here’s the catch. I need activities to fill up three hours. My club has kids ages 8-17. I would love some ideas of entertaining games. They can be a bit scary, if you want them to be. I asked other older kids to help plan, but in case they fall through, I need backups, which it what these ideas would be used for. I don’t have any money to use for this, but if the games involve things you would find around the house, that’s okay too. I am expecting the group to be a fairly large amount of kids, but keep in mind I can always split up how many kids are playing at one time. We (The kids) will be wearing costumes so anything involving costumes is good too. I can’t really think of anything else that might be helpful right now, but if I do I will add it.

Please help me make this Halloween party a success!

One Response to Halloween Party Game Ideas—?

I did a halloween party last year and had a blast!! We did these games with kids, teens, and even the adults had a good time. Two aren’t specifically halloween themed but can be altered. Here they are: (the ones I can remember)

    1. We blew up a whole bunch of balloons and put little pieces of paper in them saying things like "rub your belly, pat your head, and spin around in 3 circles" (you can adjust them to make them more halloween themed). Only put one command in each balloon. We spread them out in the room and divided the people into two teams. One at a time, they had to run and sit on a balloon to pop it. Then they would have to do the command and run back to their group for the next person to go. It was wicked awesome and more fun than I had expected.

    2. The classic mummy wrap wasn’t too bad. We had the same teams and they would choose a couple of people to wrap and about two people (can be more but it gets crowded) for each mummy. The team that had all their mummies wrapped first and the best won. So many great memories…

    3. We also attached doughnuts to strings and hung them in the ceiling. With their hands tied behind their backs, they had to eat the entire doughnut and the first one done won. We did that enough times for everybody to get a chance.

    4. If you have a big group of people you can also have a capture the flag kind of game but collect halloween favors.

    5. My last idea is to give each team a camera and a list of things they have to take pictures of (in different orders for each team) and the first team to take all the pictures wins. A good expamle would be a witch on her broom by a scarecrow and set up a broom by a scarecrow.

I hope this helps!!! Good luck and happy halloween!!!
