Depends. Do you want a costume just for you or a couples costume? or do you need a costume for a child? Go to the library- there is an excellent book full of halloween costumes!

here’s my idea I did last year (and it was a big hit):
If you’re pregnant, (or you could make that part of the costume) and dress up as a beauty queen, make yourself a sash that reads "Miss Conception"

Here are a ton of ideas, depending on if you want to go alone, with a group, sexy, silly, etc:

If you want to make the costume yourself:

If you want to buy some/buy some at the store and do a twist to it: http://costumeideazone.com/

If you want an original costume and are too lazy to make it: EBAY EBAY EBAY. But do it now so you have time to get it shipped/try it on.

I really suggest you make at least SOME of your costume. Costumes at party stores are cheesy, cheaply made, and cost WAY too much money! If you end up finding something that IS available at a party store, make sure you look in the paper for coupons – you can always get about 15-20% off those stores from the Sunday news.
